Looking towards Backlash!*SPOILERS*

For the first time in a long time it looks like WWE have promoted a PPV that looks pretty good on paper and one that isn't a BIG SHOW, i.e wrestlemania, summerslam. First of all they've gone back to the attitude era with the Triple threat match, i remember when leading up to a PPV the champ and contender would confront each other and brawl, but over the last few years WWE have seemmed to ignore and have there main event guys take part in stupid contest and crap promos. So on that the triple threat match looks really good on paper, and for once WWE are treating Edge like an actual threat, which he really is. But because of the outcome of wrestlemania its hard to figure out who will win, because except for little kids, know body seems to support Cena.

Other events that have caught my eye at backlash is the IC title match and the womens title match. Shelton Benjamin seems to have turned his career around and rightly deserves the IC title but RVD winning the money int he bank puzzles me, but don't get me wrong when RVD was in ECW I was a fan but since his return from injury his promos and matches have been poor. And one question that eludes me is why hasn't HHH seen that RVD hasn't got what i takes and had a word with the old man. But as I come to finish this rant, one fued that has intrigued me is the trish v mickie fued. Trish is excellent as a women wrestler can be and Mickie can hold her own.

Agreed AH. They seem to be turning HHH slowly face by making him funny. I think he may take the title at Backlash with Cena going heel on the following RAW by slating the fans that once cheered him.

 

As for match of the night, I fully expect RVD and Shelts to steal the show.

Yeah i agree with Prototype, Shelton vs Rob Van Dam will steal the show.

 

The main event should be good as nobody is really sure who will be leaving with the belt, plus the crowd reaction for Cena and HHH is always interesting.

 

The only match i don't care about is Kane/Big Show, my eyes started to bleed after their match at the 1999 King Of The Ring. :D

To be honest I'm most looking forward to see where the McMahon/HBK feud will go so I'm going for that match.

 

The championship match... I dunno, I'm not over excited for this really, I think it's something to do with all this happening before and then Cena won at WM, so it's happening all over again now with the inclusion of Edge and it's kind of made WM seem pointless or perhaps it's just me. So I'm not sure about this, hopefully it's a good, enjoyable match. Actually it will be good to see who's going to be the next champ or even if Cena retains.

Theres some interesting matches on it and some horrificly bad. Big Show vs Kane , Carlito vs Masters, Flair vs Umaga, Mickie James vs Trish. Thats 4 matches I really don't give a flying scissors about. They will stink, but the rest will be fun. RVD vs Shelton will easily be the MOTN, if they are given enough time. I don't really care about the triple threat since I've seen it about 3 times in the last month already. I just want Cena away from the Main Event scene. I can't wait to see how embarrassing the God effects will be, and what the huge spot will be.

I'm looking forward to the shelton/RVD match tearing the house down (hopefully).

 

Also im sorta interested in seeing where Vince is going with this "God" angle,hopefully it will come to an end at Backlash but knowing Vince he'll probably drag it out longer.

 

But my main reason for watching Backlash will be the triple threat,obviously the crowd will play a major part in this match and with two good workers in HHH and Edge this one could be a classic.

It's a close call between the main event and RVD vs Shelton, but I think MITB vs IC will sneak it.

The MOTN will be Shelts vs RVD easily

 

the Triple threat will have good times (mainly when Cena's down and it's just Edge vs HHH) because ijust want to see Edge vs HHH, Cena craps up this feud for me, WWE has a money maker of a feud in heel Edge vsFace HHH for the belt without Cena, all i hope is Cena looses the belt and we can finally get a champ who represents the REAL fans, not the kids and girls

Meh, its a pretty crap card to be honest. Main event should be ok, it hardly looks to be the greatest triple threat match, i think the crowd will be the only good part.

 

Bored of vince/hbk, Mickie vs Trish has totally gone down hill since mania thanks to Trish's overall terribleness which is magnified when doing anything with mickie, kane vs big show = bleugh, flair is boring enough without the new kamala in their, carlito and masters will probably be comedy from a poorly turned carlito and shelton vs rvd would be great if it was a ladder match, one on one i see it flopping cos of RVD's wrestling ability, or lack of.
