Guest the HiTman
Awful article. I work for News Int who own and publish The Sun. I'm about to email the guy who wrote that article and tell him exactly what I think. :)

Guest Dave7g
Ah, that was classic. It's good to be reminded of Al Wilson and Mae Youngs hand birth when trying to promote WWE as a big deal. Unfortunatley everything about John Cena is complete lies : RING NAME: John Cena. STYLE: The ultimate all-American wrestler, nicknamed The Prototype. HISTORY: A big contender, in the WWE since 2002. He is also a rapper.

Guest FreeSpirit
Oh well, at least the bigger picture is that WWE got a centre page spread in the UK's biggest and most read daily newspaper. A few errors I dont mind at all.
Guest Dave7g
to be fair Dave' date=' Cena is all-american, he is a wrestler, his nickname [i']was[/i] The Prototype, he has been in WWE officially since 2002, and he's brought out a rap album, thus making him a rapper, so not much lieing going in there. When was Cena ever the "ultimate all American"? Thats rubbish, he's never used an all american gimmick, ever. His nickname is NOT the Prototype, it never was in WWE, ever. So yeah, I'd say there was a few blunders there no?

Guest Dave7g
The mainstream will never take pro wrestling seriously, that whole article proves it.

That's the story of 'The Sun' lol' date=' a complete load of bollocks newspaper, like the rest of em I guess.[/quote'] Except of course the Daily Star which has a dedicated wrestling column every Friday written by someone who knows what he's talking about. Granted, I don't always agree with his opinions, but as a whole the column is ace.
Guest FreeSpirit
It wasnt that bad an article. Sure it seems like he could brush up on his wrestling knowledge a bit, but for the average reader of the Sun (who lets face it knows sod all or very little about wrestling), it gave them a great deal of insight into the world of WWE. Who knows, look on the bright side, that article may even attract some new viewers to the show (even if it is only temporary) and that cant be bad at all. Guest the HiTman
The mainstream will never take pro wrestling seriously' date=' that whole article proves it.[/quote'] THats right. The fact that it started off with 'WWE is weird with strange story lines' kinda proves that. A shame really. Anyways, I emailed the guy who wrote it. I shall call him tomorrow if I get no reply. I just want to know his real sources for this crap.
Guest The Great Ahmar
I had another read, He does suck he chats a lot of b***ocks. If your a journlist you should write about something you know. He doesn't know about wrestling so why have him write it.

I'm guessing here but it's probably just stating a fact: An All-America team is a sports team composed of star players. It is usually used in U.S. team sports to refer to players that are selected by members of the national media. The term is used primarily with regard to college and occasionally (and more controversially) high school players; professional players are usually referred to as all-stars' date=' or, in the case of professional football, "All-Pros", who are usually selected by the fans to compete in Pro Bowls. Selection to such a team is primarily of an honorary nature; All-America teams, unlike some other all-star teams, are generally not assembled for the purpose of playing games as a unit.[/quote'] Source: Wikipedia.org
