BRM 220
So is anybody planning on celebrating St George's day tommorow? I will be heading down to a pub called the cotton tree where they are cooking a lamb on a spit, whilst i drink the finest English cider, hopefully in lovely English sunshine. They will then be showing a re-run of last years England v Argentina game on the big screen inside.
Guest The Crippler
Not English so won't be celebrating it. You'll probably get loads of English people not celebrating it and yet they'd hijack St Patrick's Day. Oddballs.
Guest Hemme
I'm working tomorrow anyway, but even if I wasn't I doubt I'd have a day out, don't like drinking on a Sunday, it seems to bugger me up for the rest of the week. I'll stick my flag out in the morning, I expect a letter from the council on the mat when I get home, they did last year.

I hijack St. Patricks day where possible, I figure I've put enough into the Irish economy via Guinness sales that I can safely celebrate it :)

Guest Twig
...For those TWOites who may not be so privy to your culture (not me of course) why don't we explain what St. George's day is all about. I'd do it myself, but even since I do know what it is... I... uh... just feel it would be best described by an English-person... ... ... ... :D
Guest Slim Jim
Well he's our Patron Saint (like Patrick is to the Irish). He supposedly slayed some dragon or something. But of course, you knew that already.

Guest MrFill
Just come back from a friend's birthday party, yes, it's gone 3am, so it was a GOOD night - not to mention that it was fancy dress (costume party for the Americans), so lots of ladies in sexy outfits. ;) Doubt I'll go out tonight though as I'll probably be dead to the world.
