It feels like it's been ages since we had one of these threads, and as I've just made a new wallpaper, I figured I'd start a thread.

I did all the cutting and blending and everything myself, and it's all very exciting, as this is my first attempt at using photoshop, after watching Fletch use it for half-hour yesterday:)

For a first attempt that's brill! Most people (myself included) go straight for the filters so kudos for showing restraint in that respect. The only change I'd recommend would be to make the pink stroke around the lettering less bold.

It's Ishikawa Rika from Hello!Project. :wub

 

(Work I did on it - cropped the pic to make it widescreen for my Lappy; Made the background black and white so that Rika stood out more; Added the text - the Kanji bottom left for "ishi" and "kawa" for her name [lit. "Stone River"] and the katana top right for my name [KO-RI-N-SU])
