Russ
I'm...speechless. http://img371.imageshack.us/img371/5357/wow5dm.jpg That was from WWE.com today. You can talk about the lowrider incident on the Smackdown! special being inappropriate, but after the match it never referenced Eddie in any way. OK, I was the first to admit it was inappropriate, but using the catchphrase of a recently deceased wrestler to sell products? Decorating the screen with happy Christmas pictures and all of that Eddie stuff to advertise a sale on their online shop is just pretty much unbelievable. I don't know what else to say, but I imagine others will.
Drake
I feel ya man, I made a thread about this also but you beat me to it. When I saw it I couldn't believe it. I didn't thought they would go this far and low to use Eddie for sales.
Ryan
inappropriate....yes, Clever.....hell yeh, think about it, Eddies Merchandice is selling like hot cakes because of his passing so this is a smart idea, but it is in bad taste. (by the way i wasnt trying to be disrespectful in ths post)
Jack
I think this is a disgrace, but Perfect is right.People will buy a lot more Eddie merchandise because of his death, so I can see why WWE would take advantage of that. Apparently all the money will be going to his family, so if WWE exploit his death to give them more money, it's a good thing. If WWE are doing this for themselves, I think it's disgusting. Bluestiger99
If WWE are going to be keeping the money, then I have no doubts that Vince McMahon is going straight to hell.
Ryan
If WWE are going to be keeping the money' date=' then I have no doubts that Vince McMahon is going straight to hell.[/quote'] well where else are the royalties that Eddies wife and kids going to come from :roll
The Fury
nah i don't like this idea. I don't think they mean't to disrespect him but at the same time they knew what they were doing. extremely bad idea from wwe, but then again they've done appaling ideas for a few years now
Dan
The manner is which the ad has been made is distasteful in my opinion. I've already come to terms with the fact that where McMahon is concerned money comes before any integrity, but as i said, the ad & promotion could have been done in a more distasteful way. Dan
People will find any reason to bash the WWE I swear to god.... Thats because people have the right to, just like you have the right to bash TNA :)
Kaedon
Thats because people have the right to' date=' just like you have the right to bash TNA :)[/quote'] Yeah, but unlike most people in the IWC, I'm not a sheep....

MrFill
Baaah' date=' baah, baah, baah, baah, baah, baah, baah.[/quote'] There, fixed that for you. :lol :lol
Anime Otaku
Meh its a sucky but smart move.
Kaedon
and could you elaborate on that? There is a trend in the IWC to hate the WWE for whatever they do, unless of course it involves Kurt Angle, HBK, or any of the other darlings of the IWC. Otherwise, the general IWC member outright bashes the WWE for almost everything. It's ****ing pathetic.
Dead Crow
Yeah' date=' but unlike most people in the IWC, I'm not a sheep....[/quote'] Lemme guess, you're a tool.

Thirteen
There' date=' fixed that for you. :lol :lol[/quote'] :lol :lol On a serious note it is quite distasteful but as long as Eddie's family receive their financial dues and are cool about it, I don't really feel like it's a problem. Just my opinion.
Chris2K
I agree. If anything, the WWE are helping to support Eddie's family by placing emphasis on his merchandise.
Dave7g
I think the ad is far too happy, with the "Viva la savings", if they want to sell Eddies stuff there are more honorable ways to do it. I don't like to be a sheep, but that ad is downright sickening.
Ryan
has anyone actually bothered to check anyone elses profile, if you have you would realise that its been done with every superstar, is it disrespectful to the rest of the superstars then? just because he's dead doesnt mean the little thinks are disrespectful, to be honest eddies merch is selling and because of that ad its probably going to sell even more. Edgemaster006
I agree that it's in bad taste...but it's kind of poetically appropriate if you think about it... Even beyond the grave Eddie is still swindling us out of our money with a scam. But it is kind of a strange sales gimmick. I can't recall them doing anything like this with Owen. Ryan
I can't recall them doing anything like this with Owen. because of the Montreal Inncident and that fact Owen died whilst performing a stunt at a WWE Event i think the WWE were smart enough to realise not to do anything of the sort.
