carlito is cool
By this time last year the seeds had already been laid for Batista vs HHH at wmania. Does anyone have any idea/clues as to which way the WWE are going this year? I think Orton to win RRUmble Orton vs Batista at mania. And Cena vs HHH for Raw. Although in saying that that would mean 2 heels going into mania chasing the titles, something that the wwe doesn't really like to do. So maybe Cena winning rumble and Cena going in as challenger vs champion HHH. And Batista vs Undertaker in a face vs face main event. For some reason i get the feeling Brock Lesnar might have a big role to play at wmania 22, i certainly hope so!!!
the HiTman
I dont like to guess just incase I am right which means its too predictable. Hopefully the scene around April next year will be totally different with new Champs, new heels and a proper face, a decent Tag feud and Brock Lesnar. FreeSpirit
I think the Wrestlemania 22 main events will be: Raw Main Event: Cena Vs HHH Smackdown Main Event: Batista Vs Undertaker

He mustn't lose his streak.

Jung
At the rate of Cena's gradually progressing boos, and the fact he's being booked like a chump, while his challengers are made to look like gold, I wouldn't bet on HHH v Cena. All I can say is, I haven't a clue what its gonna be, and whatever it is, it doesn't look like its even anywhere near the marquee match of last year's main events, which is saying something considering they were way off the usual one. Thus I'm sure, the likes of Rock, Hogan, Austin etc will be asked. Would love to see heel Cena v Rock as a main event, and maybe Jericho v HHH in Chris' big return match, but who knows. Danny Styles
i'm hoping no HHH vs Cena.. but HHH vs Angle (obviously HHH is going to get a shot.. it's been almost a year since his last one by wrestlemania) and Brock vs Batista i hope.. if not Randy vs Batista
FreeSpirit
(obviously HHH is going to get a shot.. it's been almost a year since his last one by wrestlemania) Sorry Im not quite sure what you mean. HHH's last title shot was at Vengeance in the Hell in a Cell match against Batista (Jun26). While his last title run was New Years Revolution (Jan9) to Wrestlemania 21 (Apr3). wyndorf
I've really got the urge to see Triple H vs the Undertaker, one last time. I'd also love to see Matt Hardy win the World Title at WrestleMania, although that's never gonna happen. So I'd settle for Big Dave successfully defending his title against TBC.... SuperKick Kid
This may not be the main event, but HHH vs Flair: Hell in a Cell.
Dan
Not in the main event slot, but I wouldn't be suprised to see RVD vs. HBK.
Gooneronastick
This may not be the main event' date=' but HHH vs Flair: Hell in a Cell.[/quote'] More likely that this will happen as Armageddon or NYR. Unlikely they'll wait as long as WM to do it.
Dead Crow
I'd also love a heel Cena v face Rock. Perfect catalyst for a Cena heel turn because fans turned on Rocky too (albeit for different reasons). Rock comes back, befriends Cena, Cena kicks living crap out of him, makes him bleed, everyone hates him. Cena cuts vicious promo, tells the fans they can f**k themselves for booing him, Rock challenges him for WM, Cena accepts. Lots of serious promos, Cena mimicking Rock, etc. WM match takes place, Cena mimmicks his moves (you can't see me into a peoples elbow~!), and so on. God almighty, I've just booked my ultimate dream feud.
Ryan
that'll be good by The Rock would carry Cena's carcus (sp) in the match. Cena kicks living crap out of him that'll make The Rock look like a wuss. Edited November 28, 2005 by Ryan
The Beltster
If its not Hulk Hogan vs Steve Austin, I'm not interested. Thats the only match worthy of WrestleMania main event status, for me, right now. Anything other than that will be a severe disappointment. The Beltster
Well with Austins walking recently I don't see that happening Belty.I agree, if Vince doesnt kiss Austins ass severely well in the upcoming weeks, its not going to happen, and if it does, it might be ruined by both guys refusal to lose, thus a dream match ending in a dreaded no-contest, which would suck big time. Barring Hogan vs Austin, nothing else really strikes me as WrestleMania main event in stature. I mean, what others guys are there who bring the star power and name value to the main event of WrestleMania to make it seem any more important than any other PPV? Last I heard is we might be getting John Cena vs HHH....joy. :(
Drake
Last I heard is we might be getting John Cena vs HHH....joy. :( If you believe in GOD now it's a good time to start praying that this doesn't happen. Like you said it's gonna be difficult for Austin to comeback and if he comes back im pretty sure neither one of them will want to loose on Wrestle Mania. So this is really a toss up, I mean I don't wanna see this match for the wrestling execution, cause I know neither men are on top of their games. Austin can barely take a bump and Hogan is well past his prime. The thing that will be memorable to see is the 2 biggest names in wrestling history going head to head, the build up and see who's gonna play the ''Heel''. SuperKick Kid
Nah, HBK vs Cena for the title.
The Beltster
Neither HBK or Cena bring superstar name power to make it mean anything more than a Backlash or Unforgiven main event. Nobody does, Batista, HHH, Angle, Undertaker, Orton...none of them have that star power aura to make the match something huge. Guys like Hogan and Austin do, but they are kinda broken down or, in Austins case, alot broken down. The Rock would be the only other guy I'd want carrying one half of the main event if Hogan or Austin couldnt be there. Rock vs HBK would be great, but Rock hates Michaels and wont work with him, so oh well.
Sav
Sorry but as big as Austin vs Hogan is, neither Austin or Hogan have any place wrestling in the main event of Wrestlemania anymore, the match would be a trainwreck.

Even though both Austin and Hogan were the biggest draws in their day...lets face it their both getting old and cant carry a huge match like a wrestlemania main event anymore. Im not saying they cant carry a match at all but not one as huge as wrestlemania.

Granted Cena v JBL sucked, but the others were good matches. High standards maybe?
