From their site:

LightScribe technology is an integrated system that combines the CD or DVD drive of your LightScribe-enabled computer with specially coated discs and enhanced disc-burning software to produce precise, laser-etched labels.

So, you need your computer upgraded, and then to only use the specially coated discs.

I'd stick with normal labels, or just writing what's on them. :P

Its not an upgrade' date=' its like buying a new controller for your PS2, its an add-on, an accessory. I already have a DVD burner, when I bought it, I didnt consider it to be upgrading my system. Still, makes no difference. Looks pretty decent.[/quote']

Well, in theory adding anything to your PC is an upgrade.

Adding a DVD Burner is upgrading it to allow the capability of burning DVDs.

Adding a memory stick is upgrading it...

You get the idea. :)
