MrFill
Preview:Last week RAW ambushed SmackDown. Kane and Big Show left the World Heavyweight Champion Batista laying in the middle of the ring with a monstrous double chokeslam. “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters hit Theodore Long with a sneak attack and cinched in the Master Lock. After gaining the edge on RAW at Taboo Tuesday, SmackDown was seemingly left in shambles last week. SmackDown's Survivor Series team will all be in attendance at RAW. Will they be there seeking revenge? Plus, The Dicks will have their first SmackDown match against the Legion of Doom. The Dicks have interfered in a couple of tag team matches already. FreeSpirit
It will be good to see the Smackdown superstars pay a fitting tribute to one of the top stars in the locker room. RIP EDDIE GUERRERO (1967-2005)
GURRRRR
Thanks to PWTorch.com for the following: After a quick set change, they moved Eddie's car to the aisle. It was confirmed that Tazz and Michael Cole were doing commentary for the show. Batista came out, and said he didn't know if he should be the one to out there at this time. He said, "He'd hate to see me out here crying like a baby. There's two things I know: He loved his family and he loved this business. He found peace in this ring. My one comfort is knowing Eddie is now at peace. He is with God. I miss you, I love you, I will make sure no one ever forgets you." (1) Matt Hardy defeated Carlito Cool. Hardy won the match with a Twist of Fate. After the match, Hardy hung around Eddie's car for a bit. He did not get as emotional as some of the other wrestlers on this night, though. Vince McMahon then came out to say some words. He said Eddie loved to perform, and then gave one of his trademark big gulps. He said there was one thing Eddie loved more than wrestling and that was his family. Vince talked about how everyone, all the wrestlers and production people and everything, were his family. He concluded by saying, "Eddie was a good man. A damn good man." (2) LOD defeated Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch. After the match, Big Show gave a speech about Eddie. He said, "My only comfort with losing a friend is knowing that all the pain is gone. He is with God. Now he is safe. I love you, bro." Show broke down during the course of his speech. (3) Chavo Guerrero defeated JBL. Late in the match, Chavo threw a chair to JBL and took a ghost bump. The referee turned around to find the chair in JBL's hands, and admonished him for it. This got a huge pop from the crowd, who chanted "Eddie!" Chavo hit the three amigos suplexes and the frogsplash to get the victory. After the match, Chavo thanked the fans. He said Eddie gave his life for the business, for the fans, and for the boys in the back. He said, "I know you all will miss Eddie Guerrero." (4) Juvi won a cruiserweight battle royal. The competitors included Tajiri, Shane Helms, Paul London, Kid Kash, Brian Kendrick, Scotty 2 Hotty, Nunzio, Funaki, Psicosis, Super Crazy and Juvi. It came down to London and Juvi. London was on Juvi's shoulders, and then both went over the top rope. London hit the floor first, and Juvi managed to keep himself on the ring apron. (5) Chris Benoit defeated Triple H in about 13 minutes. Benoit finished things off with the top rope headbutt, locked in the crossface, and then managed to leverage Hunter into a pinning combination from the crossface to get the victory. After the match, they hugged and shook hands. Dean Malenko came out, and while he did not say anything, he celebrated with Benoit and held his arm up in victory. Afterward, Benoit said, "Eddie was a man who walked through every possible valley you can imagine. Eddie was a true inspiration to every life he touched. We'll always love you and miss you." The crowd didn't leave until Benoit's speech was over, as they were very interested in what he was saying.

The B-Man
So with Triple H being on SD tonight I was wondering when his last SD appearance was?
big pau hoolinator
Depends what you mean B-Man..sometime around Summerslam he appeared in 1 or 2 darkmatches on smackdown..
MrFill
I think he means on TV itself.
Christof
Hmmm, good old sky, Guerrero tribute Smackdown and we have lesbian golf to contend with.
Russ
Grrrr, I just came back from the pub to set my Stream Ripper to tape the show while I get ready to go to a club, only to find my SD! source isn't working. Which means I might have to try and convince people to actually go to another pub that's showing it and pretend I'm not watching it when really I am. Or maybe it's one of these things which you need to give full attention to or else you'll not get the full effect of the important of the show. Add that to the fact that downloading anything is impossible on this slow connection and it's not looking good that I'll see this show in any format other than WWE.com's videos. Which I can only pick up audio from, and even that buffers constantly. Someone needs to buy me a TV for Christmas.
Slim Jim
The end of the show had me choking up. Beautiful.
Ryan
So with Triple H being on SD tonight I was wondering when his last SD appearance was? i believe HHH's last appearance on SD! was in 2002 just before Vengeance (he officially signed with RAW at Vengeance 2002). poland74
Not as good a show as Raw but still some fitting tributes to Eddie were made.
Danny Styles
Smackdown was really good this week.. and IMO it was better than Raw.. i am annoyed we didn't get the Benoit end show promo on sky but uh well... nice to see the Batista putting the belt on the lowrider.. IMO it was just as good as Raws tribute... Loved the Benoit ending... asoliod great tribute that got me really choked up.. its hard to think that next week Raw will be back to its crappy old self and smackdown will be back to being average... and there won't be Eddie.. it sucks
Anime Otaku
Was anyone else thinking someone should have stole the belt? Honestly it did cross my mind that maybe Chavo would have left with it. Also really liked JBL's comments breaking kayfabe.
Drake
i believe HHH's last appearance on SD! was in 2002 just before Vengeance (he officially signed with RAW at Vengeance 2002). What about when he got traded to Smack Down and then traded back to RAW. I know he fought someone on RAW ,I think it was Eddie and he had the SmackDown shirt. But im not sure if he appeared on SD before being traded to RAW again. GENE
What about when he got traded to Smack Down and then traded back to RAW. I know he fought someone on RAW ,I think it was Eddie and he had the SmackDown shirt. But im not sure if he appeared on SD before being traded to RAW again. Na he didn't appear as when his music hit Kurt Angle came out,and he was introduced as the new general manager as paul Heyman had "quit" four days earlier from his post.:)
Chris2K
Batista coming out to Eddie's music in a low rider baffled me. Obviously it was a tribute to Eddie, but how were the crowd supposed to know that? It easily could have been that it was Eddie coming out, and that they'd all been swerved about his death. Just didn't make sense.
The Phenom Billz
to be honest none of the crowd really reacted to it the atmosphere was really low but you would expect that from a tribute show
Gooneronastick
Fantastic tribute show to Eddie Guerrero IMO. The JBL/Chavo match was excellent, especially when Chavo hit Eddie's signature moves, The Fake Chairshot, The Three Amigos and The Frog Splash. Benoit/HHH was a good match too and just a shame they didn't have more time. Nice to see Dean come out and just a shame they couldn't have had Perry come out with him. One I'm writing to DVD and going to keep along with the Raw tribute show.
Kanenite
I really enjoyed this weeks Smackdown, the two were equal in my oppinion. I cried at the tribute video and properly at the very end, both were very touching. The whole show was very touching and emotional just like RAW. It was nice to see the side of JBL that we never see. The Chavo vs JBL match was brilliant, it was very fitting for Eddie's nephew to honour him by winning with his signature moves. The HHH vs Chris Benoit match was brilliant. I loved the ending where HHH and Benoit hugged, that was very emotional and it was very different to see the other side of HHH. I will be keeping both of these shows. This week has been a very hard week for me and the rest of us, but we are all in the same situation and if we are suffering from this hard time, all we need to do is talk to each other. Rest in Peace Eddie, your career has amazed me. You are an idol to me, and i'll never forget you.
Anime Otaku
do you think they might make a new version of the Eddie DVD with the shows and maybe the choice to watch either all the matches or all the interviews seperately?
Captain Caveman
do you think they might make a new version of the Eddie DVD with the shows and maybe the choice to watch either all the matches or all the interviews seperately? That thought crossed my mind too. I would like one with both the tribute shows on it too. If it does happen I do think that they may change the name of the dvd, not quite fitting now! Kanenite
If they do bring out another Eddie DVD I will be sure to buy it. Even if it is for one extra show or one extra clip.
Matt
The end of the Chavo / JBL match was one of the most emotional scenes in WWE history and one i will never forget
