Popsi
Particularly in football there have been some horrendous kits over the years, and i was watching the Ospreys game last week when Stade Francais ran out in a kit more suited to cheerleaders than rugby players - namely lovely pink: http://boutique.stade.fr/boutique/images_produits/vrefA3.jpg i also recently came across this delight from Man U many moons ago - who thought the Robin Hood look was a winner i don't know! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/popsi/image.jpg Any other suggestions? Can be from any sport that was particularly horrendous :xyx
Christof
I haven't got a picture, but I remember the 1992 Cricket World Cup, back in the days when all the teams had basically the same kit with a variation on colour. The West Indies whose colour was maroon were offered a pink kit. Luckily sense prevailed and the Windies were given a Maroon kit eventually. Danny Styles
Ah the Man United grey shirt. Had to change at halftime on a trip to the dell many years ago if my memory serves me correct. becasue according to Fegire.. the Man Utd players couldn't see each other a were 3-0 down at half time i think.. so they cahnged into the blue strips... and lost 5-0 (not 100% sure about the final score.. but i know they lost :D)
BRM
i also recently came across this delight from Man U many moons ago - who thought the Robin Hood look was a winner i don't know! The green and yellow halves was a anniversary shirt, the colours were those worn by Newton Heath over 100 years ago. The shirt is actully rather liked by United fans. As for that fateful day at the Dell. 1995 - Manchester United away kit Without a shadow of a doubt, the most controversial football strip of all time. Popular amongst the fans, the 1995-96 away kit had already become one of the best selling of all time despite the teams poor results when wearing it. In April 1996, United trailed Southampton 3-0 at half-time. Alex Ferguson forced his players to change strips and blamed the grey tone for the teams performance, claiming the players were camouflaged on the pitch by blending into the fans in the background. United still lost the game 3-1 and the kit was subsequently withdrawn from production two years ahead of schedule. It's record: 1 Win, 1 Draw, 4 Defeats! Interestingly, this wasn't the first time United had changed kits at half-time. During an FA Cup tie in 1903, they were forced to change from their familiar red strip into their blue and white away kit. Whilst adverse weather conditions were to blame for that change - they also lost the game 3-1. credit prideofmanchester.com Whats Fergies excuse for last night then? :D Edited October 30, 2005 by BRM

K.J
Here's a Man Utd away kit from the early 90's, modelled here by Clayton Blackmore, IMO the worst ever football kit. Closely rivalled by the Celtic ones. http://www.prideofmanchester.com/sport/photos/mufc-kit92a.gif

Evil Gringo
I've gotta say that Umbro provided Man Utd with a hell of a lot of duff Away and Third strips in the late 80's and 1990's... Not to mention the horrid sports wool home kit they made that was their last design before we gave the contract to Nike... Anyone remember the horrid Blue and White kind of star like shirt that we had as an away kit in the 1990-91 season? The previously mentioned Grey horror that I actually have with Cantona on the back, The all blue esemble shown below as well that Blackmore is wearing... Horrid... Also remember the Grey England shirts and the magnificently terrible Goalkeepers jersey that went with it? You the one, from Euro '96, with the cream coloured letters and numbers? Crap-o-la
Alan
http://spln.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/p1495532reg.jpg Now i actually think that the Bengals uniforms are actually one of the best in the league. I love the whole tiger thing they have going on. In the NFL though i hate the Saints uniforms, just a dislike i have had for a couple of years. K.J
Anyone remember the horrid Blue and White kind of star like shirt that we had as an away kit in the 1990-91 season? You mean the adidas one with the adidas type logos flowing diagonally right across it? If so, yes, and I still have it in my posession.
