Is wrestling dying?

We all sit here and debate on which fed is better. TNA or WWE. After talking to a friend via MSN for a while, and I submit that good wrestling is a dying art. We had the 80's with Hogan and it continued up until the Attitude era. After this we've seen a major decline in the entertainment, attendance, and even talent.

I guess what I'm getting at, is good, entertaining wrestlling dying? Or is the industry just going through a phase?

bottom line is: WWE is too predictable and not enough people watch TNA... i bet TNA will do well with the 2 hour prime time slot that they have.. but at the moment they don't have enough exposure....

WWE has always been run by the McMahon ego but nowadays there is no-one to control them... all the hollywood people are yes men... and steph just sucks... i blame the McMahons for the slump in the WWE..

but dying.. no... wrestlings been taken to hospital with a broken leg.. and should be up again in around 6 months

of course wrestling is dead its boring and predictable as hell and even the divas do not interest me in watching it anymore.

Agreed. Wrestling is too predictable and boring now, thats why its crap! If Sky + wasnt invented i would just keep an eye on sites which have diva caps and I wouldnt watch WWE at all.

pppppppppeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrvvvvvvvvveeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrttttttttt:lol

what the plastic divas.. the ones that voices sound like hell?? those divas?!!

dude just watch porn

We've been through this before.

Different people watch wrestling for different reasons, some for just the wrestling (which would normally mean they watch ROH more), some watch it just for the Entertainment (which is where WWE lies at the moment) and some for a mixture (guess what, it's TNA time).

Just because he likes looking at the women doesn't mean that he wants to see them naked - a woman wearing something that leaves things to the imagination is generally sexier than one who is naked.

Think about this, maybe he thinks you're a pervert for watching sweaty men in lycra who like holding each other. :)

WWE seems to be aiming a lot of their show at kids nowadays' date=' which gives it a childish feel, certainly WWE have little or no resemblance to a sport anymore just a really really really bad american soap opera.[/quote']

I used to describe wrestling as a soap opera for guys with beat downs, oddly enough. Now its just the soap opera minus the beatdowns. I don't know about a childish feel, but its more of a "we're going to try and shove the WORST crap we can down you throat, and you're going to take it since there is no one to compete with us." This philosophy has made me give up on watching WWE entirely.
