Get In The Ring recap by Brian P. Cooper of http://www.BigVanVader.com

The return of Get In The Ring with all-improved audio, features an exclusive interview with Mr. Thursday Night, Rob Van Dam. You can listen to the interview at http://www.GetInTheRing.tv. Check out the website for details on how to pre-order the GIR book, Mysteries Of Wrestling: Solved, available in only a few weeks.

- Rob Van Dam joins Sir Adam, The Phantom and guest host David on the show. Phantom asks about Jesus' neck. Jesus says it's fine, except he has a hole in it. The surgery went well, "unless the doctor was drunk!" The surgery was on 10 January, he currently has metal plates in his neck and is expected to be out of action for 9 months.

- Sir Adam asks how RVD is doing? Rob's missed out on some big events, the tour of Japan and promoting the new DVD. Phantom asks about the DVD and the match with Bam Bam Bigelow. RVD says defending the TV title in ECW was 'the favourite part of my career,' although says 'working for WWE is a great, great job,' due to the exposure and the money.

- The ECW PPV is bought up. RVD says he doesn't know whether it'll be official, but doesn't feel he'll probably be ready to wrestle if so. He feels WWE don't have to bring non-contract wrestlers in, as they have a lot under contract. RVD expects to be back in 6-12 months.

- Phantom asks more about RVD's knee injury which Rob goes into more depth about. Dave asks about Sabu's condition. Sabu is on the mend, although Rob hasn't spoken to him in a month. He had a 'near-death experience' at the hospital.

- Rob is asked if Smackdown is like an ECW TV show in that it is taped and edited. Rob works for the crowd and if he slips on the rope then he lets the live crowd down.

- Adam asks about the perception of Smackdown being the 'B' show and if it makes him angry? RVD replies that 'it takes a lot more than that to make me angry!' If people prefer Raw, than that is fine. RVD calls Raw 'the Triple H show.' The numbers aren't too different between the two shows and it is just a perception.

- Phantom asks about HHH and Raw being the Triple H show. RVD says 'I get bored quick with storylines anyway, and when it seems like one never-ending storyline, I'll try and run as far away from it as possible.' RVD also says why he doesn't get more mike time in WWE.

- Dave asks is RVD watched No Way Out and his opinion on the diva segments. RVD was fortunate enough not to watch the PPV and over the years has seen 'a lot of females taking up time, space and money that really had no position at all, because they're horrible.'

- Adam asks about the recent Eddie Guerrero interview where he talked about the pressures of being champion. RVD feels he could deal with it, but in the WWE, 'I've ever been one to be responsible for filling up the house, at least I've never felt like I've gotten credit for that.' In ECW he could run with the ball but feels that 'I haven't seen the ball in the last few years.'

- Rob recommends the ECW DVD, although there wasn't enough of him on there. He planned on 'staying at ECW for life.' Phantom asks about Paul Heyman. RVD says that ECW was his baby and he could run it into the ground if he wanted to do so.

- Adam asks about the frustrations of not being pushed in the WWE. Most frustrations are because of the schedule, but other frustrations are there. The DVD hit the number one spot in the sports section even though the WWE haven't marketed it well. RVD says he is 'under-pushed, under-used, but still over-appreciated.' He wanted it to 'beat the hell out of the Ric Flair DVD.'

- When asked about his 'refusal' to go to Iraq, RVD feels it is 'blown out of proportion' and it was more a 'dis-interest.' The week of the tour was supposed to be a week off for the wrestlers.

- RVD pushes his seminar with Dory Funk Jr. on 27 March, talks about his WCW stint as Robbie Vee, compares comics with The Phantom before telling his real thoughts of Shane McMahon doing the Van-Terminator.

gotta say you can always count on rvd to tell the truth about what goes on.

the whole diva thing is true.it's nice to see them but some times they take up to much time.

the ecw is prolly by far the best dvd wwe has made.gives a good inside of how ecw was and yes there wasn't enough of rvd on it.

rvd is prolly the most under used talent that deserves to win the big one.his dvd wasn't even advertised really at all in wwe.which doesn't matter cause it was a great hit.

i read the news on the whole iraq thing about him not going.it said it was volentairy*spelling* and they made a big deal about it.

other than that you can always expect a good interview from rvd.

Good interview from the whole F'n show Mr.Monday/ Thursday Night RVD. Monday Night Raw is indeed the HHH show on Mondays. I'm glad RVD called it on the money. I bought his DVD the other day. Those matches kick ass!!! Between my Flair DVD, my Chris Benoit DVD,and my RVD DVD I'd have to say that Chris Benoit's is my favorites followed by RVD's then Ric Flair's.

All 3 are indeed worth having if you are a fan of either of these guys. :worship

I will be at the second annual Wizard World Convention in Long Beach March 18th, 19th and 20th. This is a good chance to come out and tell me how cool I am in person.
and
...not only will students get the invaluable knowledge of the legendary Dory Funk Jr., but also...Rob Van Dam. (Dude, that's hard to point my thumbs and type at the same time!)
Haha!
