And actually he may be better than JBL, but then who isnt
Guest psh
..' date=' or young guys who think that you can't have a good match without doing a 720 450 moonsault double somersault shooting star press through 17 tables.[/quote'] i laughed so hard, thanks man :)
Dead Crow 370
Trips, Jericho and the Dudleyz blatently carried Jeff on a weekly basis. As for Matt Hardy, their match sucked, and I'm sure that they've agreed on that before.
Omega 354
i liked jeff, i am not a 12 year old girl or gay, i've watched wrestling for years i know enough to know the diffrence between a spot monkey and really good wrestler. i'm not a hardcore mark or even and extreme mark. hell i'm not even that much of a jeff hardy mark. at the end of the day i liked watching him work even if it wasn't the most technical display ever. all the poelpe on here slagging off jeff for his outside habits should know better given how rife drugs are behind the scenes in wrestling. if you think he has no talent thats fine but he's made a decent living off it so at least the majority of people must have liked him at some point. if there are any points that you can level at jeff and no other wrestler then maybe that's different. Guest Rock
A spot machine though and not in a good way. Im not putting them in the same league, but couldnt you class Mick Foley as a spot monkey
Guest Christian Rules
yes, Certainly. He was unbearable with that sock too.
Dead Crow 370
Foley was a spot guy, but not a spot monkey. He didn't influx his matches with them, and could wrestle solid psychology-filled matches very often. But the HIAC and the Death Matches made him, which remained his stigma. Its just i remember Foley mainly for his major bumps he took, just as i do Jeff And anyway, Foleys spots are at the next level compared to Jeffs... Guest Anime Otaku
Foley was one of the most entertaining wrestlers ever to lace up his boots in the WWF/E, not a great wrestler by any means but he could have great matches that were fun to watch even if he wasn't the most technical or athletic person in the world and his promos were class too, i loved the rock and sock connection and the rock 'this is your life' sketch

But the HIAC and the Death Matches made him, which remained his stigma.[/quote'] i wouldn't really say his hiac matches did that much good except for those certain major bumps he did.like when taker threw him off it and got back up.also when triple h back body dropped him through the cage.and also when taker chokeslammed him through the cage after he got thrown off.those were the best parts in those. Dead Crow 370
Exactly. And you ask how Foley became a big star, the answer is usually in those bumps, which is a shame.
Guest MartynJ
Foley a legend in my eyes for all the bumps, bruisers, cuts, ear been torn off. In all the matches ive seen him in he's put his body through pain, especialy in eCw, But yeah he is more of a stuntman, than a wrestler, jeffs not as hardcore as foley but its good have people like these in the wwe to entertain us
Guest Christian Rules
Foley was superb when he had socko. Seeing our champion look like a tramp with a sock on his hand made the WWE title mean much more than Hart, HHH or Lesnar ever could!
Guest Anime Otaku
here's a phrase you might wanna listen to 'the clothes don't make the man' look at the rock's attire when he started... hell in his dark matches his clothes were second hand, his boots were 2 sizes too small and his trunks were too big. I'm not saying Foley's the greatest wrestler ever but i found him amusing and his psychology was great in matches and promos
Guest Christian Rules
I agree! His promos were superb. I hate our champions having serious feuds and having technical matches! I prefer a man with a sock on his hand! Mick Foley was terrible in ECW, the segment where he spat on the title was terrible and that idiot Heyman will even back me up on that one! His character was at its best when he done the this is your life segment with the Rock!

Guest Trash
Foley was superb when he had socko. Seeing our champion look like a tramp with a sock on his hand made the WWE title mean much more than Hart' date=' HHH or Lesnar ever could![/quote'] As Foley explained in his book, he was using the Mr Socko towards the end of his career because he was getting worn down and that silly move was so over with the fans that they didnt notice. It kept them entertained and covered for him being a bit out of shape in the ring. Its good though that he did'nt end his wrestling career in that condition but went out with dignity. The Royal Rumble street fight with hHh and the HIAC proved that he could still go at it, and he was proving to the boys in the back that he still could. Now admittedly the Mr Socko is a daft move yeah. Mick can tell you that himself, but it did the job and that was to entertain the fans. Saying that though, I really shouldn't give The Worm such a hard time.
Guest Anime Otaku
i suppose that it is true that if a move is over it doesn't matter if it looks daft like the worm, socko claw (the proper mandible claw is okay), people's elbow it doesn't matter, the same with gimmicks too, if they get over then being a bit daft doesn't matter
