Guest The Beltster
4 PPV's? wow I never knew that...!!! is that why they are the top 4 PPV's every year? 16 Channels??? lol!! Is the tape in good quality still? just wondering... When did you start having to pay for them? Did you have to pay for Sky Movies? In 1985 and 1986, there was only 1 PPV per year, and that was WrestleMania (and they were both on closed circuit TV, not actual PPV). In 1987 they added Survivor Series. In 1988 they added SummerSlam, they also ran the first Royal Rumble in 1988 too, but it was only 20 men and was on TV in the USA and not PPV. In 1989 they added the Royal Rumble to PPV and continued with only 4 PPV's per year until 1993 when they added King of the Ring. In May 1995, they added In Your House 7 months per year to make up the 12 PPV's per year...then last year they added even more and now we have 15 per year I think, which sucks ass, its way too many. Especially seeing as we now have to pay for 8 PPV's per year when, until 2000, we never had to pay for ANY. Yeah the WM3 tape is still in fine condition, although I have them on DVD now so I dont usually watch it. Started having to pay for them in 2000, after Channel 4 came along and screwed everything up. No, we didnt have to pay for ANY Sky channels until about 1990 when the decoders came into full force. You only had to pay for the box and dish.
