Dan
I'm sure that most people like WWF. But after a recent clash with another person, who kept saying "Why do you like the WWF?" I though I might make a thred on that topic, why do you like the WWF?. What makes you watch it? Personally it is the equal balance of wrestling & entertainment that make me watch it. Guest NJC
There are many reasons, and over the many years since 1990 I now really appreciate the technical and skilled wrestling with Benoit and Regal etc. while still massively enjoying the out and out entertainment matches that feature Rock etc. However, to sum it all up, I'll steal a phrase from a fan on the documentary "Wrestling With Shadows"... "It's fun, not a lot of things are fun anymore, but wrestling is. You cheer the ones you like, you boo the ones you don't."
Guest SkinnyBoy
Personally it is the equal balance of wrestling & entertainment that make me watch it. Equal balance my arse, Lance Storm gets squashed by edge in a 2 minute match up then we get a 20 minute promo, [Edited] No flaming Edited March 31, 2002 by Skullmonkey

Dan
Maybe I was a bit naive when I said an equal balance of wrestling and entertainment. So I will say a good form on entertainment, with a splash of wrestling.:xyx
Syxx-Pac
I like the WWF because I love panda's and they do a lot of good work to protect them and....oh...hang on....am I on the right website?.:roll

Jayden
I watch the WWF similarly to Si, because occassionally they will put on a great match. Now whether that's the spectacle that was Hogan Vs the Rock, or whether it's Lance Sotrm Vs Edge on the undercard, they can be hugely entertaining. Not too keen on all the entertainment stuff but I just have to live with that. There are only a handful of guys who do it well. Regal is entertaining as hell, so is Austin, and guys like Edge and Big Show I feel are under rated on the mic. One of the major factors in me watching the WWF programming is that they have so many guys working for them, who I just couldn't imagine not seeing anymore. Benoit, Storm, Austin, Booker. If I stopped watching WWF then I wouldn't get to see these guys display their many talents
Simon
You know, if HHH doesnt lose cleanly soon, i might just end up stop watching the WWF. Its really trying my nerves these days. (Nice phrase eh). Anyway, when its good, its good because you somehow end up caring about matches that are pre-determined etc...through being entertained. I'm not sure why or how, but its all about them entertaining us, backstage antics along with the actual Wrestling. It is wierd though, what pro-wrestling really is, yet we all love it...maybe its a psychological thing :P
Guest Alliance Mark
I think the reason why the WWF is so popular is because it's a mix of other popular forms of entertainment. Soap operas : im sure the ladies will get annoyed at this but the WWF is a bloke's soap opera. The storylines (although lacking recently) keep you watching week in week out. Sports : Not really a sport, i know but imagine if two boxers decided to plan/fix a bout so that they could give one of the best boxing matches of all time. Pantomime : The yanks don't have pantomime, the closest they have is the WWF. It's pantomime with wrestling. You've got the good, the bad, the ugly (Lita). The lights, fireworks, crowd participation. It's a circus too. The acrobats, the strong men, the clowns, the bearded ladies (Lita), the giants. And there's a bit of porn too.

Guest Jazzmaster
It's always worth watching WWF because no matter how crap ongoing stories may be at times there's always something, maybe only once a week or even month, that will really suprise you and make you interested. Take the ECW reforming or the roster split even. Well worth watching for.
Brian Houlihan
I liked WWF cause it was only one I had access to once ECW came along it was ECW but when they closed or weren't on TV i chose WWF over WCW
