Kam
This was taken from a online-newsletter (Lokergnome): "It is impossible to lick your elbow. A crocodile can't stick it's tongue out. A shrimp's heart is in their head. People say "Bless you" when you sneeze because when you sneeze, your heart stops for a mili-second. Guest Michaels
I got that e-mail time ago. As soon as I saw "It's impossible to lick your elbow", I tried it! It felt a bit strange to see it say 75% will try it. I felt fooled!

A.C.
Just been browsing old threads (I'm bored) and saw this one. Surely we say "Bless You!" when people sneeze due to the plague in the 1600s. An early symptom of the disease was sneezing. Hence (also) the rhyme: "Ring around the rosy," (villages infected with the plague had stone walls built around them which no one was allowed to cross in order to contained the "rosy"-cheeked people who were infected) "a pocket full of posies," (Flowers were thought to ward off the plague and also provided a respite from the smell of decay) "Ati-shoo, Ati-shoo, we all fall down" (You're sneezing and you've got the plague, therefore you fall down)
