No he isnt. If you are thinking of the Hirohito thing well WWE have dropped that and I dont think he has any other stereotype. I think he will be OK for the time but soon he will be fighting Cruiserweights on Velocity.

Yes it is, when have they ever brought in a japanese man and just labelled him as normal?

Fact is in Japan he was nothing special and was pushed due to his size and background (he was a former international rugby player) and the only reason he's here is cos he's desperate for money due to the fact that the company he worked for fell through and he burned his bridges with New Japan when he left there...

It's just like the old days when they push forward a big heel threat with a gimmick for Hogan to knock over and then they'd do nothing much and end up leaving a shell of what they were... When Eddie's done with JBL he'll knock over Kenzo and then whoevers next.

For those out on Saturday and therefore missed Smackdown... (a few gasps from those who now believe me to be a non-fan)... What did he use as his finisher...

In Japan it was a version of the Shining Wizard, Spear or a backdrop suplex hold...

What have the yankies given him?

Suzuki's finisher is what's best described as a face-shove-slam. Bit like a Rock Bottom.

He puts his right hand over your face, maybe sneaking a finger up your nose (I don't know), puts his left arm under your arm pit and Rock Bottoms you. Keeping his hand planted firmly on your face and drilling your head onto the mat.

It's pretty goofy.

Cheers!

its nothing like the rock bottom at all its like a reverse stroke kenzo wasnt that impressive at all tajiri is the best cruiserweight i the wwe has so they put him on raw that makes sense! all suzuki had was a finisher no regular moves just punch punch kick kick

I think guys in general are being overly harsh on Kenzo. He was never going to be a techinical wizard in the ring, people who hadn't even seen him wrestle before knew from his size and style alone that he was never going to be 'the next Bret Hart'. But not everyone can be, standards for how good guys have to be is a bar that is being held too highly esepcially in the WWE where it is public knowledge that Vince likes the Big Man at the top routine so that is how it will remain. Back to Kenzo himself, the guy got a two minute showing against Scotty Taylor....hardly a decent showing for a review of his talents. No offence to Scotty but his talent isn't at putting over the new guy, and having the new big man go over A N Other cruiserweight does little to increase his credibility. Give Kenzo a chance as with the right man, (which could have been Benoit if he had stayed with the Hirohito role on Raw) I feel he has enough about him to pull out a decent match. Hes not that bad, it was only chops and kicks because the time he had to showcase that was physically all he could do in that time.

All I am saying in a long drawn out way, just as with Mordecai wait until they have their first drawn out match so they can showcase all of their moveset rather then judging on their first two minute squash matches.

Also on the gimmick, I like it. Yes its stereotypical but what isn't in the world of wrestling. It is fresh in todays WWE just as the Mordecai gimmick is, just let the gimmick develop and then criticise when its bared all of its fruits.
