Weights training help!

Right, A.C. is on a "Get Fitter" buzz at the moment. He runs on the running machine every other night but his brother's free weights, bench and dumbbell is getting no use.

Anyone know where I can find diagrams of the right way to excercise using these things? I've been Googling for a dog's age but I'm drawing a blank.

Thanks in advance for any assistance. :xyx

I would have to disagree with you there Sharpshooter.

You would (if you want to get big quick) pick a weight and lift it between 8-12 times. If you can lift it less then 8 you need to get a lighter weiight and if you can lift it 12 times get a heavier weight.

8-12 isnt specific though 1-2 lifts of variation is ok

Yeah i know that all im saying is if he hasnt lifted before he should start out light. Unless he wants to **** up his posture and joints.

Absolutely! I'm far from the fittest or strongest person in the world (big understatement) so I need to know what I'm doing first - don't want to knacker myself before I even start.
