My dad crashed the first incarnation of my pc once and his birthday was coming up, I asked him what he wanted and although already knowing I was annoyed by his antics on the computer said surprise me....

I am a bloke, I am from the north of england, I am no nonsense, put these together and you get one conclusion, I am crap at gifts! So I was so annoyed I surprised him in the best way ever... an empty envolope with his name on it to which he has never truely forgiven me.

Has to be said the best was for my girlfriends last birthday, I was the first time I've really had money so I splashed right out and got her a bautiful expensive pair of earrings (not a ring are u mad, I'm 18, I don't need a ball and chain!)... she was so grateful, it brought a tear to my eye....

I've had some really horrible clothes bought for me by old relatives that just don't know me. Anything my mum buys me is good though, and likewise anything the boyfriend gets me is good too. His friends seem obsessed with buying me horrible keyrings though, like a baby that poos if you squeeze its body, and a flashing penis that glows when your mobile is about to ring. needless to say both have gone in the bin.

I bought my boyfriend some rubbish porn - I didn't know it was going to be rubbish, I just bought it and we watched it and it was so bad we had to turn it off and put the playstation on instead. that's probably the worst gift I've ever bought anyone.

Best I've ever recieved was a graduating present it was a Mont Blanc pen which I've had years and only written my name with once cause it was fairly expensive, but its true value is in the fact my Grandmother bought me it shortly before she died.

Worsed presents I have recieved and still do is fleece cause they bring my skin out in a rash and my family know that but they know if they get me some sort of fleece they usually get it back. So to piss them off I've started giving them to a charity shop and they've stopped buying me them.

I don't really give crap presents cause I know I hate getting rubbish, so I usually put some thought into presents. I like to go for the unusual I get autographs, antiques or foreign items that are not common or easily available.

The worst i have ever given was to my brother about 4 years ago. It was before i had started work so i was skint, so i ended up giving him some of my old tat which i never used any more. Needless to say he wasnt pleased :oops

As for the worst i have received, well it was down to my poor old nan. I was 14 at the time, and she knew i was into football so she decided to buy me a football shirt. Sounds all well and good, my parents knew i was a West Ham fan, so i assumed she would as well. NOPE, i opened my present and what disaster did i find in front of me, a flippin Spurs shirt :evil I was not happy and stormed out, my mum told nan what the problem was and she ended up changing it!
