i have found out on the internet some things that will 99.9% on SD!6 they are: all superstars have their own season mode (probably to prevent bad wrestlers like bradshaw getting title shots)

:buried alive is in

:no lesnar or goldberg (this could change if they return)

:more legends including (bret hart, yokozuna,mr perfect,

hulk hogan,ultimate warrioir)

:in B+P girls wear thongs

:you WILL be able to defend title in exhibition but if the title changes in

exhibition the ex-holder of the title will still have it in season

:they are putting online play in

:they are putting the old NITRO arena in (more rumors will start)

Now these are 99.9% certain and if you have any ideas of what they are putting in or wish they would just reply.

I've also searched, and found that the following is confirmed.

Special Rob Feinstein Invitational Match where all wrestlers are shrunken to 3ft tall

Super duper Hell In A Elimination Chamber TLC Inferno Caged Scramble Ladder Scaffolding Submission Ironman Judy Bagwell's Viagra On A Pole Match

Every wrestler ever to set foot in a ring included

The game will not cost you anything, naked ladies will deliver it straight to your door.

See, it's fun to make up confirmed features, and convieniently not link to any sources. And when Yukes are announcing their list of news features, I can guaren-damn-tee that they will anounce a hell of a lot more things before they announce what kind of underwear the females will have on.

If you can prove where you found this information, and it's a credible source, I'll give you all of Colin's uncollected paychecks from his days as Co-Forum Leader.

This thread is so pathetic that it's almost funny.

SMACKDOWN!6 HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED BY THQ/YUKES YET

How can a game have things confirmed if it's not been announced? It'd be like a football headline saying "Athletico United sign John Smith!", before Althletico United are even set up.

The is NO news about Smackdown! yet. The only things that are official is that THQ is working on a WWE game for PS2, and some shops are taking pre-orders for a game called Smackdown!: Word Life, which is jumping the gun a little.

There is no wrestlers, modes or features confirmed yet. It's all rumours. And the fact that Jack hasn't given any links to his sources after being asked numerous times shows that he's making up the crap that he's telling you.

When THQ make an official accouncement, only then will things start being confirmed. If you have any sense, you'd ignore everything that is "confirmed" above this.

Well, I don't know how much of this is true/not true. I tend to agree with Russ about how this information can be out so early ect...

I just hope they have the online play option :) I'd definitely get all of the online stuff installed then. What's that about pre-orders for the word life game Russ? Fill me in please :D

It's not much really, SCSA.

In order to take money from customers, shops want to get games available to pre-order as soon as possible. Let's face it, everyone knows that SD!6 will be announced at some time. What a lot of shops have done is taken the rumour that the new SD! game will be called "Smackdown!: Word Life" and used it as a tentative title so that people can start ordering the game, even although it's not released or even announced.

This kinda thing is pretty common, and it's happened plenty of times in the past. Some people took this as a sign that THQ had confirmed the title as being official, even although it's just a guess by the shops so that they can put notices in their magazines/brouchers that the new Smackdown! game can be pre-ordered.

And Jack, I'm sorry but THQ has certainly NOT announced Smackdown!6 yet. All of the video game forums I vist didn't have one post about how SD!6 is announced, THQ's site has no mention whatsoever of Smackdown!6 and you STILL fail to show evidence about the stuff you've found.

You sir, have made a rather large fool of yourself. This goes to everyone, don't pretend that things are confirmed when they are just rumours. It gets people who aren't in the know excited, and the people who do have a clue what's going on need to give an explaination.

jackbibby is a moron.

Even if these "alleged" sites do exist. So what if they are Austrialian, American or from the UK. A link is a link. Regardless of where the site is being hosted. I really cannot see the arguement in the fact that you found a few sites with Smackdown! 6 info but now cannot find them due to them being Australian?

This whole arguement confuses me.

Like Russ says, when THQ announce it, expect it to be splattered all over their website and also I think they'll release a lot more info that what jack has told us. Either jack has been ill informed, or he is a liar.

:stupid

In a brief statement, Yuke's executive product director Hiromi Furuta said, "I'm still working on the SmackDown! series but I am afraid that I can't tell you what its new features are. I am confident that SmackDown! 6 will be a success."

The fifth SmackDown! game - subtitled Here Comes The Pain - was released last year to consistently positive reviews, largely thanks to the game's improved control system and refined career mode.

The Yokohama-based Yuke's, who are widely regarded as the world's premier grapple-game coders, are also currently developing a female wrestling game for Konami, called WWX: Rumble Rose, which is also due out for PS2 later this year.

ha ha ha ha this is off gamesrader a reliable source so apologise please!

and if you read the thread by dan i think asking for internet help you will be able to see i couldnt just click on history because i have a new comp :D

now although he ses he cant tell us the new features on the game there IS a leak on the internet, just like what happened in that harry potter book which has been in forums in websites like IGN with people saying its 100% true so i am just passing on the word

This is all IGN have to say about it:

March 2004

Smackdown Goes Online

Fans of the Smackdown series have been begging for an online version of their favorite wrestling series since the Network Adapter was first announced. And while most of the free world was surprised at the lack of such a feature in last year's version of Here Comes the Pain, it only made the pressure for the next installment to be online even greater. From what we've come to understand, though, the chances of such a thing happening are currently about 50/50 -- as nobody from THQ is ready to comment about any aspect of the game; including the fact that it exists.

As you might suspect, representatives from THQ declined to comment for our article as well, making the possible online future of Smackdown 6 even more of a curiosity. What makes this story even more interesting, however, is the fact that we may not even see anything about the new game until after this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo -- as it will likely be kept a secret until later in the season. That is, if it remains known as Smackdown at all.

Unfortunately there isn't much else to say about THQ's next big thing other than what's been written here. But from the sheer amount of secrecy that already shrouds its existence and feature set, we could be looking at changes even bigger than what we saw last year. Honestly, we can't wait.

April 2004

April 15, 2004 - Several wrestling websites have been reporting for a few weeks now that the next iteration of THQ's Smackdown franchise would be officially titled WWE Smackdown: Word Life and make its worldwide appearance at the 2004 Electronic Entertainment Expo in May. Others have even gone on to speculate that the first game footage of Smackdown may appear before the big show itself.

Not surprisingly, however, there haven't been any official announcements confirming any of this from THQ representatives. But since we're such big Smackdown fans in the first place, we decided to give our pals at THQ a call to get to the bottom of this.

"Smackdown 6 will not be called Word Life," chuckled the representative we spoke with. "In fact, it won't have any title affiliated with John Cena at all. So that means it won't be called Thuganomics or anything like that either. Right now, it's just being referred to as Smackdown VI internally and will stay that way until we make an announcement otherwise."

In regards to the question of whether or not Smackdown will appear at this year's E3, THQ wasn't quite as forthcoming with a comment. But based on our own personal experiences with the series and its development cycle, we don't expect the game to make an appearance at E3 at all. Historically, the official Smackdown announcement has come later and later each year since the appearance of the first game (remember, only the logo appeared at E3 last year), and with Day of Reckoning one of THQ's centerpiece products at the show for 2004, we don't expect the company to want their spotlight to divert. Whether or not that will happen officially, we'll have to wait and see.

We'll keep you updated with more on Smackdown 6 as soon as it becomes available.

That kind of kicks your arguement in the balls jack.

However, I do like the Smackdown! : Word Life name. Same it wont be used. They probably wont use it as John Cena isn't over enough, yet.
