Race Body Snubs 'Un-British' Work

The Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) is blocking grants to ethnic minority projects that fail to promote “Britishness” and integration. Last week, CRE chairman Trevor Phillips sparked debate when he said the term “multiculturalism” should be scrapped.

CRE commissioner Khurshid Ahmed told BBC News Online the Commission felt they had to change their grants policy in the light of “global events. Over £5m in grants is due to be handed out soon under these policies.

i think there right to do so pretty much because if they do british thinks such there will be a lot less racism. if you look at it one way people of african originality and indians are more accepted because they are more westernised whereas people of muslim originality are less accepted because they do less westernised things than other foreign races such as africans and indians
