  1. It's been many years since I last checked in here. There have been no recent threads. Is this forum finished?
  2. Arsenal nailed on third for third you talk complete nonsense, it's probably best you stick to reading arseblog.
  3. There really, really aren't sensible doubts about this conviction. Essentially Evans was convicted on his own evidence. He just doesn't accept it because he doesn't think that what he did should be a crime. And equally, he has not lodged any appeal. He has twice had his application for leave to appeal turned down. All that is happening now is that the Criminal Cases Review Commission - which has nothing to do with the courts - is looking at whether there are any grounds for trying a new application for leave to appeal.

  5. Only Manchester utd and possibly Arsenal are bigger in this country. I've lived in America and Spain over the last few years and Liverpool have a much higher profile than Chelsea in both countries.
  6. I've watched both episodes. I think David Morrissey has been brilliant so far. I've also found the side story with his son very intriguing. I'm hoping next week Colm Meaney gets more screen time as he's a wonderful actor ( I love him in hell on wheels). Up to now it's been good, but nowhere near as good as Luther or the Fall.
  7. Better than Luther, Sherlock, and the fall???
  8. They have banned him from club and country because it's 3 times he's done it!!! Surely after 3 times it makes sense to have a harsher punishment. They couldn't stick to the same line as it was getting absolutely ridiculous. When you then consider the fact that he has also had a lengthy ban for racist behaviour the punishment is completely justifiable.

  10. I think Mascherano passes the ball brilliantly and is excellent defensively. Busquets is more technically proficient, but is that really what they need? Mascherano being a destroyer is a good thing as he offers something different to the way Barcelona play. Personally I'd love to see Busquets (his passing accuracy is phenomenal) in place of Xavi and Mascherano playing in the holding role giving the back 4 great protection.
  11. I'm a Liverpool fan I enoyed seeing Mcmanaman do well at Real Madrid and i had no ill feeling towards Torres leaving for Chelsea. They both gave a lot to the club, players come and go it's part of the game. If Fabregas gets booed at the Emirates or Lampard at Stamford Bridge it will be quite embarrassing for both clubs.
  12. I couldn't care less if he smokes or not. However I think he's a been a bit stupid here. He must remember the backlash from last time, and with all the long lens cameras lurking these days he must've known there was a good chance he would get photographed.
  13. De Gea, Rafael, Evra, Vidic, Fellaini, Carrick, Mata, RVP... on paper, I'd put them above their Liverpool counterparts, on their best days. Something is just forcing five of those to stop having best days these days. Maybe it's age catching up with some of them, and maybe some just aren't as good as you think they are??? Obviously RVP and Mata are class, but I think the likes of Fellaini and Rafael have got a lot to prove before being classed as top players.
