  1. What's new in this club
  2. The games are free for the month that they are in the PS+ window, but so long as you have an active subscription, the games remain playable. One big change since this was last updated is that the PS3 and Vita is no longer supported, so there is only two PS4 games (and sometimes a VR title) each month. That being said, there is always a batch of games that have PS+ discounts applied (which change periodically), and sales will now and again have double-discounts (i.e. the actual sales discount, with a PS+ price cut on top). It is well worth the money, especially when you can download a game you would likely never buy, and realise it's pretty damn great.
  3. I hadn't read about the Vita TV actually being launched yet. Isn't it just a rumour still? We know it will eventually be launched somewhere, but as far as I know we don't have any concrete evidence beyond the fact that it does indeed exist.
  4. How long do the games normally stay active on the service? I'm considering getting it and you all have mostly convinced me, but I am a very casual gamer and take my time with larger games. Sometimes it could take me months to fully complete a game. Would I still be able to enjoy them for that long with the subscription?
  5. With all due respect, it should be Sony's responsibility to keep our information secure because we pay them to play their games. During that hack, it was the Sony's servers that were hacked and not individual players. Besides that point, I think Sony has learned their lesson because if this happens again then they will lose big time.
  6. @North Whenever the new console comes out, I'm hoping to see some JRPGs that really take advantage of the hardware's horsepower. I'm also wondering how empowering it'll be for more experimental/art house projects, especially with the rise of VR. @Glimm 2019? I think I heard something like that too, I'm excited about the possibility of having the PS5 as soon as next year.
  7. Generally, I feel the same. These hardware protections are great, but we rarely see a physical breach. It's about protecting what we have already put online. For safety reasons, I never put any real information on these sites unless I really have to. Then again, maybe many players have done that, so Sony prefers to focus on other areas. It would be great if you can share your opinions because maybe I haven't thought about the reasons you're thinking, but that's okay.
  8. IF the PlayStation 5 is actually coming soon, I'll probably not bother with it, for various reasons I can't be bothered to go into.
  9. We should have a better security with our personal data in the PS Network. The hack was done 7 years ago, and I'm sure Sony made their network more secure. However, I'm still not comfortable about giving my personal data in their network.
  10. This topic is old, but I just read an article claiming that we may see PS5 in 2019. It's possible to get a new user interface and a fingerprint scan to unlock the device. Those are smashing features, but do we really need something other than better graphics for the games?
  11. The CEO of PlayStation recently explained that PS4 was entering the final phase of its life. Sony may invest less in 2019 as they prepare a new platform. PS5 is still three years away at least but I already feel sad because I haven't had the console for long. PS4 has seen many great games and there are still more to come, so let's not waste any time! What do you expect to see on PlayStation's next machine?
  12. Have you played them all? From the last three batches, each of these are good-to-great. Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture The Deadly Tower of Monsters Dirt 3 Costume Quest 2 Letter Quest Remastered Invisible, Inc. Hyper Void VVVVVV Day of the Tentacle Remastered* This War of Mine: The Little Ones Blazerush The Swindle Titan Souls * This is a genuine classic and an absolutely fantastic game
  13. Like last month, due to cross-buy you can pick up five games for PS4 from the six available. The games update on 03/01/17, so you have until then to download the ones from the previous post. Day of the Tentacle Remastered (PS4, PS Vita) This War of Mine: The Little Ones (PS4) Blazerush (PS3) The Swindle (PS3, PS4, PS Vita) Azkend 2 (PS4, PS Vita) Titan Souls (PS Vita, PS4)
  14. Another six games are available and due to the wonders of cross-buying, if you have a PS4, you can get FIVE of them, while Vita owners get four. Stories: The Path of Destinies (PS4) Invisible, Inc. (PS4) Hyper Void (PS4, PS3, PS Vita) Tiny Troopers Join Ops (PS4, PS3, PS Vita) Color Guardians (PS4, PS Vita) VVVVVV (PS Vita)
  15. The Deadly Tower of Monsters is a great game with a fantastically original concept.
  16. Kinda let this thread slide, so apologies for that. Anyway, the November line up is as follows -: Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture (PS4) The Deadly Tower of Monsters (PS4) Dirt 3 (PS3) Costume Quest 2 (PS3) Letter Quest Remastered (PS Vita - cross-buy with PS4) Pumped BMX+ (PS Vita - cross-buy with PS4 and PS3) That's technically four games for PS4 owners to sink their teeth into.
  17. January's PS+ content. Hardware: Rivals (PS4) Grim Fandango Remastered (PS4) Dragon Age: Origins (PS3) Medal of Honor: Warfighter (PS3) Nihilumbra (PS Vita) Legends of War: Patton (PS Vita)
  18. Great idea for a thread btw - the free games are always worth keeping an eye on
  19. I got a Battlefield 4 / Hardline double-pack for £15.00, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture for £10.00 and the arcade version of Double Dragon for £8.00. I've left Arkham Knight until the GotY edition is released, so think Calvino Noir could be a nice diversion.
  20. I've taken advantage of the discount on The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, it's only a tenner instead of 15 quid. Decent!
  21. Super Meat Boy, Unmechanical and Broken Age are all really good games and I'm working my way through them, so last month was good value for the subscription fee. I'm also still playing through MGS: GZ, as well as Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris from earlier months and Limbo, Steamworld Dig, Teslagrad and Rocket League are all sitting on the XMB getting played by myself and / or Josh, so the PS+ membership is still a great little addition. For November, this is what you get for your money alongside plenty of great discounts (seriously, go and check out the PS+ Discounts section or the Halloween-themed sale) -: The Walking Dead Season 2 (PS4) Magicka 2 (PS4) Dragon Fin Soup (PS4/PS Vita/PS3) Mass Effect 2 (PS3) Beyond Good and Evil (PS3) inviZimals (PS Vita)
  22. Here's the list for October. Broken Age (PS4/PS Vita) Super Meat Boy (PS4/PS Vita) Unmechanical Extended (PS4/PS3) Kickbeat (PS Vita/PS3) Kung Fu Rabbit (PS Vita/PS3) Chariot (PS3) Broken Age is from Tim Schafer (creator of Grim Fandango) and it looks visually stunning.
  23. I swear the PS4 freebies are getting worse. What a load of balls.
