So the elephant in the room was finally addressed… the reason Jimmy McGill was never hired at HHM. We can also assume to know the reason Jimmy changes his name to Saul Goodman (I expect to see in the finale next week).
This episode was well balanced between Mike’s ‘protection’ job of a drug deal, light touches on the Sandpiper case, & a lot of goings on behind the scenes, which is all finally revealed at the episodes conclusion.
Better Call Saul is finally gaining some real traction & creating an identity.
+ Mike was Heisenberg-esque during a drug sale
+ Saul telling Howard to pound sand
+ Kim confronting Howard / defending Saul
+ Chuck’s standing ovation at HHM
+ We learn why Jimmy was never hired at HHM
– None of note.
